FRANKLIN — Attorneys Harriet B. Rotter and Nancy K. Stone have opened a new matrimonial law firm in Franklin. The partnership is a family affair — Rotter is Stone’s aunt.
Rotter, of Bingham Farms, has served on various Michigan boards and national commissions, including the board of trustees at Central Michigan University; The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the President’s Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. She is a member and past president of the Michigan Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.Rotter, far left, earned her Bachelor of Arts from Wayne State University and Stone graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. Both are graduates of the University of Detroit-Mercy Law School, 20 years apart.
Stone’s 20 years of experience includes state and federal court litigation, with an emphasis on complex commercial disputes and business dissolutions. She is a negotiator, trial attorney, and mediator with an understanding of complex property estates and contested business entity valuations.
